Nelson Santa Parade & Carnival

Sunday 7th December, 2014

Join the fun - Enter into the Parade with your group or organization.

As the largest parade of its kind in the region, the Nelson City Santa Parade does not need much introduction, this year to be held on Sunday December 1st, from 1pm, Nelson CBD.

What it does need is involvement and support from you, individuals and organizations that are active in any way in the community in the Nelson region.

The Nelson City Santa Parade and Christmas Carnivale at Founders have now become a full day’s event offering entertainment, food and fun for families and a chance to celebrate and connect with neighbors and friends.

The Santa Parade heralds the start of the Christmas season, we celebrate old and new connections, new life, new beginnings.

I invite you to join us!

An improved Parade Route, shorter and sweeter

The Parade will start this year as traditional from the bottom of The Nelson Cathedral steps down Trafalgar Street and will finish at Trafalgar Park where the Christmas Carnivale will provide a chance to meet Santa Claus and entertainment and refreshments for all ages.

BE THERE

Come and join the parade! Take this opportunity and dress up in your brightest colors with family and friends. Participate and encourage others who participate in the Parade and come together at Founders park after the Parade to enjoy each others costumes and company. Prizes will be awarded for best efforts and creativity.

HELP OUT

The unsponsored floats need managing and manning. Each year the Santa Parade committee volunteers dedicate days of their time to tidy up the trust owned floats. Here is another opportunity to be involved in the Parade.
